Shuffle / The business conversation

A second life.

A product refresh. An authorised use. A business to validate.

The opportunity

Content can remain relevant after the products in it have changed. Shuffle’s initial application is a same-shape refresh: yesterday’s discontinued green can becomes today’s red successor within an existing scene.

The proposed first commercial focus is an independent content owner with usable catalogue and distribution authority, paired with a brand or agency that has a current product to promote. That focus is a strategy to validate, not a claim of signed customers.

Follow the value.

The transaction

The client pays for an agreed placement licence and separately quoted services. The rights holder controls approvals and authorised release, and receives agreed licence proceeds. Participant shares are recorded in the agreement.

Shuffle’s planned revenue

Production and service fees at the beginning; transaction fees and recurring platform access as partner relationships repeat. The total placement budget is not Shuffle revenue.

Product updates, renewed campaigns and separately licensed markets provide possible repeat triggers. The commercial test is whether later transactions create attractive contribution after clearance, production, revisions and sales effort.

The larger ambition

Do for digital assets what iTunes did for music: connect discovery, permission and payment in a useful commercial system. The first product refresh makes that ambition concrete; it does not define its final reach.

Shuffle’s proposed advantage is continuity between the asset and its commercial history. Permissions, exact-version approvals and payment records could make subsequent uses easier to agree and deliver. Trusted catalogue access and repeat relationships are advantages to build and demonstrate.

What exists and what comes next

Current project evidence

The 5 October project record describes local Shelf and Editor workflows with synthetic placement tests. The website’s scenes and films illustrate the proposition; they are not evidence of a validated production engine.

Next proof milestone

Demonstrate the replacement workflow on authorised real footage, then validate a paid partner engagement. Measure clearance effort, revisions, delivery cost, contribution and demand for another campaign.

The investment conversation

What evidence should the next stage produce, what resources does it require, and what would justify expanding from a focused service into a repeatable platform?

Five useful questions.

  1. Which content owner and brand pairing gives us the strongest first paid use?
  2. What technical and creative acceptance evidence will the buyer require?
  3. What are the delivery economics of the first placement—and the next?
  4. Which relationships, workflow integrations or rights access could create a durable advantage?
  5. What team, funding and milestones would support that next stage?

No funding amount, valuation, traction, customer relationship or exclusive technology claim is asserted in this preview.
